LIMIT...

I have been playing a lot of limit games lately. I think I have gotten a little tired of just NL hold em, I have played a few tourneys the last couple of days and built up huge stacks and didn't even cash. Two days in a row a built up a stack in the $10-1r1a tourney, and i mean a big stack, the second day i had 20k more then first when we still had over 150ppl left. Needless to say...i finished in 97th with 63 paying and semi bubbled(within 20) the other one. I use to play a lot of PLO and PLO8 a couple of years ago when i first got tired of NLH but i just blew through so much $$ that i switched to stud and stud8 which i feel i was pretty good at but my love for tournaments and all the sites lack of stud tourneys made me switch back to NLH. Now im playing pretty much nothing but HORSE and LimitOH8, it kinda sucks because the horse tables dont all run the same game at the same time and i cant play less then 4 at a time without being bored to death so i have actually lost quite a bit of my BR playing that stupid stupid game, after i take a beating at that i switch over to Limit OH8 and can usually win back most if not all of my money lost at horse. Believe it or not i have lost the most money at the LH rounds then in anything else( obv i sit out of razz). I just cannot seem to grasp the game at all, i never have and i more then likely never will, or its just because of hands like this.

Other then playing maybe 4 hands before this i literaly blinded down to this after almost 30 min of play and somehow this guy thought he was good on the flop.

So i know that its been a really long time since i last updated this thing and thats for a couple of reasons.
1: Had a bunch of random bills that i was not expecting so had to take out all my money online.
2: I got really lazy
3: Honestly I just got tired of writing about the same boring stuff that im sure no one was even reading.

SO..
I decided that im going to change some things, First- I am going to whore myself out there and try to get up a bunch of link swaps w ppl that have high traffic blogs, I am going to update this thing AT LEAST twice a week, and when i do i will pick a couple hands from the past few days and try to go over them and hopefully i will get some readers to comment on them also ( if you read this please please leave a comment on my hands that i post even with just a simple " i like your line here" or " your a total donk").
I am going to still be grinding out sngs but i am also going to be playing a lot of cash games, mostly 6-9 tableing at the .10-.25 level. I am also going to give my usual rants and raves about dumb shit going on w me.

Finally, for those that are wondering, i didn't redeposit money online, I played a few 70fpp sats to the $10 tourney and think i won like 8 of the 15 or so i played and then won 3 Sunday million seats almost in a row and made a ft of the 7.70 plh tourney and won a 45 man sng all in a matter of a week. I did cash out most of it but left myself with a comfortable roll for 25nl.

I think my tourney game is getting alot better...FT in a small tourney

so i have been playing alot of tourneys lately and been making really deep runs but bust in the final 3 tables or so. I think i am finally starting to understand alot of situations better and have been doing really good in alot of the large field FTP tourneys. I play the daily doubles and the midnight madness almost every chance i get and each one has about 1000 players each time and that is where alot of my deep finishes have been coming but with only 1 FT when my roomate got called into work and i had to finish of one of the DD for him and ended up getting 5th i think. I count that as my own FT because he left with like 800 ppl in it still and only had 900 chips. Anyways, tonight i was playing in the only tourney that was starting on FT and it was a small $5.50 tourney with 400 ppl and i ended up getting second for like $300. I think i played really good in this tourney only sucking out 1 time and that was 3 handed and i wasnt far behind really, the big stack raised from the button and i had AJ in the SB with about 65k in front and the blinds at 2500/5000 and won a flip against 44 to get back in it. I was really happy when he knocked out the other guy because i have been working on my HU play ALOT and was really ready to see what i could do but the second hand into it i had QQ and lost an AIPF hand against AK and was out. Oh well cant complain really, this guy was running sooooo sick im surprised i didnt lose to something like 22.

Pretty disappointing day in poker

So i played the 3 rebuy on FT and was down to 10 ppl and i had a decent stack and was in 5th place but of course on FT all the bigstacks get put on the same table. I had AQs on the button and the 1st place guy limped utg but had been doing that alot so i raised to 4500 at 800/1600 with 37000 left behind, limper thinks for a while and repops to 15k even so i insta shove knowing pretty well i was probably ahead since he had been pushing the table around alot and he calls with K10s and the door card was a K to give him the lead, turn A and i take it back then obv K on the river to put me out 10th when 3 players had under 15k left. then to top it off, i was in 1st of a $10/180 sng from about 115 down to 30 when i get 1010 and raise a SS but comitting myself to the pot if he pushes and he wakes up w QQ to put me in 10th, lots of hands go by and i get wittled down to 20/25 then double through to get back to 9th. Very next hand i get KK in the sb folds around to me, i raise, get reraised then shove ..... into AA lol. and am out 19th.
I have been really happy with my play lately making alot of deep runs in tourneys but it just always seems that i lose a huge flip at the most crucial moments...like the final table bubbles. I think in the past week i have like 3 top 15 finishes w 0 FTs and 7 top 25 finishes. I cant wait for when i can actually start winning some flips deep in a tourney so i can finally get a win in a tourney that has more then 200ppl in it. When that time finally does come i am sure that i will be killing it.....

Happy birthday to me...

so yesterday was my bday and i was really surprised because my parents called me and told me that they bought me a new car. I am 20yrs old and this is my fourth car since i was 16. I know, i know spoiled..right? Yeah guess again. My first car (cost: $1200) was a 97'dodge neon and although it was in perfect condition it was a total chick car and i hated it, needless to say i wrecked it about 4 months after getting it( not at all my fault lol) so then my dad and me went to an auto auction where they lined up a bunch of old raggedy ass cars and it was just like you see on tv when they auction off farm animals. I ended up getting a 94' explorer(cost: $1250) sport which i also didnt like mainly because it didnt have AC and in gets hot as hell in texas, i ended up spending a shit load of money getting it fixed up and i had it for about a yr but when it was time to get a new inspection sticker it didnt pass because the exaust system was fucked up. Well i took it that day to get it fixed which cost me about $800 to redo the whole system and while i was there i bought all new tires since the others were pretty much down to the wires then not even a month later the headgaskets blew and i just said fuck it and my dad bought me another car. A 91' chevy blazer(cost:$900) with 230,000 miles on it and once again...no AC, the headliner was falling off and it needed new tires, brakes, and lights. Well this time it actually didnt cost that much to fix everything because we traded the explorer to the mechanic to put on the new tires i just bought for the explorer onto the blazer, his friend fixed the headliner and they did the lights and brakes plus a tune up and gave us 5 free oil changes, so i think we ended up ahead onthat deal but still no fucking AC. Well i have had that car for only a few months now and alot of shit was going wrong with it. I mean obv it would..it did have more then 150,000 miles on it then it should but then i came back home to Katy to see my family for my birthday and to go to a concert and when i was there my mom called me and said hey, do you want i car? i told her of course i do and she said good because w e just signed for one. I was really excited because when they said "signed" that had to have meant that they bought it from a dealer and sure enough they did. I know it still is kind of a girl car but yu have no idea how happy i am that i have a car that has AC, working gauges, more then 1 working speaker a headliner that doest let the shit from underneath it fly into my face and i dont have to worry about when its gonna break next. Oh yeah, its a 2007 ford focus zt4 or someshit like that btw.
So 4 cars in 4 years totaling about $15000- which is what most of the kids during high school payed for 1 car, actually it was more like 4/5 of what they payed

Now pokerwise, my bday sucked, i dont have time to post all my stats for my challenge but i will when i get back to San Antonio tomorrow. I got stacked again in HU cash on FT set over set for almost 2 1/2 buyins at .50/$1. But on stars i am actually killing the HU sngs finally, i watched the AaronBeen CR videos on HU sngs and it really has helped alot. I have played 43 $6.50 HU sngs over the last 3 days and i have a 73% win ratio.

New challenge

So i decided that i need to just work on most of basic skills and pretty much rework my game so i am starting a new challenge. I am setting aside $75 to play just 3.40 sngs, and $75 for micro tourneys. I am still going to play two favorite tourneys the $9.90 360max and the $11 6handed tourneys every night, plus cash games but mostly i am going to focus on this challenge. I will be posting my results daily and i will move up to the $6.50 turbos once i get to $200 so i will have 30 buyins and move to the $16s once i get to $480 and so on...

Dropped a huge portion of my BR

So i have been playing alot of cash games lately and have taken so many coolers its unbelievable. I remember last night i was playing 6 tables or 50nl and i had AA< K8, AA< JJ, JJ< AA all at the exact same time on my tables. I had to get a new mouse today because i had worked those stacks up to almost 4 buyins total. I have dropped down to 25nl and i am getting alittle back now and also i am playing alot of HU sngs since the main reason i think i have been breakeven in my sngs lately is because my HU game is really suffering. I am doing pretty good in them again though, i think i had a 8-0 run in them just a little while ago. Although i am only playing the $6.50s i think that i am actually getting my game back on track.
****Im finally getting my check cleared from AP and i am going to be putting money on FT and Bodog (mostly because i want to start betting on sports) and i will be playing alot of live games also.

Update and summer plans

i dont really have much to say. I realised that i would have a much bigger BR if i wasnt playing 15 tourneys a day, so i am limiting myself to 3 or 4 a day now and the rest will be sngs and cash. I have been playing alot of .50/1 HU cash on FT lately although i am defenitly no rolled for it i feel i have a pretty good edge against most of these players. I dont knwo what it is but in a sng on stars i for some reason cannot get a win when it gets to HU, i duont know why but i just cant. I think its all mental but oh well. The weird thing is, when im playing HU cash i am almost positive i am better then more then half of the ppl at the level i am playing. I transfered my roommate 50 on stars for 50 on FT so i could play the P5s open tourney ( btw i got a $75 bounty for knocking out dhubermex and a shoutout in the p5s podcast, so listen for my name in the next on, i requested him to say "he trapped me" in his best teddy KGB voice) anyways, i was around the chip lead from about 30 hands into it until almost the end of the second hr,who can guess how i lost...of course it was KK to A10, but i did get it allin after the flop of x1010 so i guess it was my fault lol. So back to the cash games, i used the other $28 to play HU and ended up leaving with exactly $100. I woke up the next morning to play somemore so i bought in for $30 on two tables and the funny thing is, i get stacked in both honestly within 20 seconds of eachother. One table i had 1010 QQ and lost a race to AK and the other table i had KK and lost to a gutshot allin after the flop.

I think that i might try and play alot more cash games since summer is coming up and i plan on playing in alot of live games around here, My GF is going back home for the summer so i will have alot of free time and i am actually going to see sort of what it would be like to do this for a living,( but not really)
So here is pretty much what i plan to do. I have $1750 left from the money i cashed out on AP and i will use that as my BR. I will be working about 25hrs a week at my job, making $9hr so about $725-$775 a month after taxes and that will be pleanty of money for my half of the rent and food. The rest of the time i will be playing an ungodly amount of poker, I have a game set for every day of the week, and even though they are all $1/$2 games almost every one buys in for only $100 so i have 17 buyins, throw in a couple of 10,15 and 20 Rebuy tourneys and the ocassional $50 super deepstack tourney that runs once a week i hope i have a big enough BR to be playing in the $2/$5 or $4/$8 games by the end of the summer.


I dont know if any of this makes sense or is even written to where you can follow my thought process but i promise it all made sense to me when it was coming out and i sort of just typed what i was thinking, how i was thinking it, plus its 4:00 am and im dead ass tired.

Not really much to post about

Over the past week i have been almost completely break even, and while i guess that is alot better then being down it still sucks. I was playing the $9.90 360 max tourney today and i was around 130 with 145 still in it and somehow i managed to get a top 5 stack until the final 35 which was pretty good. I dont know what happened really or why i did it ( prob because i was on the phone w my mom) but i shoved my sb w 83o after it folded around to me, the blinds were 400/800 and i had 23k the bb had 15k and and made a very loose call on the bubble f the tourney with A5 and when i hit my 3 i jumped but obv the A hit the river, lol. Well i worked my way back up to a 12th place stack and again made a kinda stupid play, i had AJ and made a 4x raise, flop came out 7 high and i check raised the tightest layer at the table, he came over the top and i had to fold and lost about half my stack. Finally i just shoved Q10s from mid pos when blinds were 600/1200 and i had like 15k.Oh well, i finished in 27th place and actually was happy because i have been on a HUGE tourney downswing.

- the other day i was playing in a $10 180man sng and i was doing really good, i doubled up on like the 5th hand. Anyways i flopped two pair w AJ on a rainbow flop, bet half the pot and got a call, turn was a spade, bet 3/4 pot got a call, and river was another spade, Still thinking im good i shoved all in and the guy had 78 spades for the running flush. Well i was down to 100 chips with the blinds at 25/50 and came back to get 8th place which still sucked because i was in 1st with 17 left but oh well, at least i made it that far from 2bbs.

Realization about my game and how its hurting me

The last few days i have realized a few things about my game that need to stop.
Mostly I am to aggressive:
1.from the blinds when i think there is a steal in late position.
-one of my favorite things to do is pick off a steal attempt, and i would say honestly it pays off about 75% of the time if not more, especially if its late in a tourney but when it doesn't work, i go up in flames.
2.from late position no matter what my stack size is compared to the blinds.
- i can have about 15+bbs and even though that is not when i should be push fold i still get like that from late position in tourneys which has resulted in a ton of crash and burns
3. SBvBB
- i HATE sb limpers when its folded around so i will always bet out on them and alot of times it works too but when i get repoped i think that they are just tired of me doing it and are playing back( see post two days ago A3vsAA SBvBB) so i will just shove an insane amount of chips in.
4. against what i feel is a re steal when i try to steal from any position.
- Another one of my favorite things to do is re raise after i have been raised when i am trying to just pick up blinds.


Also i have realized that i might play to big of pots when i should really keep them smaller and not try to stay X amount ahead of avg in tourneys.

Another big thing is trying tourney strategies in a cash game because they WILL NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!

I am on a huge downswing because of these things, i mean like 50% of my br downswing.
I really love being aggro but i think i am taking it a little two far, i mean in the beginning of tourneys when the blinds are insignificant i have no problem checking it down SBvBB or letting go of my hand when i am only 90% sure i have the best hand when i am facing a decision for all of my chips and i don't even have that many in the pot to begin with, because i know i can find a spot where i am 100% sure. I just don't know what happens to me but right after i make a play, before my opponent even acts i know that i did something stupid and that it is going to cost me a lot of money.

SHOULD I GO BACK TO ABSOLUTE???

this is kinda rediculous. I have played a little more then half of the games i did on Absolute and i havent even made 1/10th of what i did before i came back to Pokerstars. My placement finish is sooooooo bad, 22% 3rds and 10% 1sts, thats absolutely horrible. I think(hope) what it might be is that the sngs on AP are alot better for me because they are like a mix of the regular and turbo sngs on stars. The levels are changed every 10 hands instead of every 5 or 15 mins like stars. This means that when we are at a full table it is like a regular sngs where i can still play tight but see flops with a few more speculative hands and then when it gets short handed, which is my favorite part of sngs, it turns into a turbo because you get through 10 hands so much faster and there are not many AP regulars that really know how to adjust to it. Who knows maybe i just went on the "new account heater" lol and i really am just a breakeven player.

Internet problems, a FT and a blow up...help with HH

when i first got up this morning i registered in two $29 sats to the sunday warmut and some tourneys. I am about 15 min into both of the sats and a good way into the tourney and all of a sudden my internet connection drops. Im freaking out because this has happened alot lately but never when i am playing turbo sngs. Anyways i call the company and after waiting for a good while i talk to the guy and he is useless. Finally after being on the phone with him for more then 45 min i finally reconnect.

The sngs sats i came back just in time to see me finish in 3rd in one of them..one spot out of the money and the second one i am in the bb with KK and have 390 chips left, the second place stack moves in and obv i call, well the big stack calls also and hits a straight and of course the other guy hits trips so i bust 3rd again and get no money. Incredibly though i was in the $16.50 360 max tourney and came back to having 875 chips with blinds at 75/150 and being in 271 out of 278 to getting to the FT only to bust in 7th place to a huge lucksack... of course my A8 doesnt beat his KK lol, so rigged. Also i was playing the 15k $11 tourney and i really like the new 3k staring stack, i wasnt even paying attention really to my stack size in comparison to the field until my roommate told me i was in 9th out of 125 which was really good for my confidence. Low and behold i completetly donk of my chips in 1 hand and drop to 116/123. here is how the hand played out.

Im not sure about the final call though, i was getting insane odds and if i won the hand i was in 1st place. I didnt figure him for a big A or even a PP because he was raising those every time and i thought that his reraise was a resteal.

Last few days...

At times when im playing it feels like i am in total "domination" mode but also sometimes its just " i get hit by every two outer and lose every race" mode. Its really fun. lol. I have played in 17 tournaments the last few days and for the exception of the $3.30 triple shootout i haven't cashed in a single one. The TSO was really annoying, i love this tourney as it is one of the easiest ways to make money in a micro limit event. My only problem is that i always screw up at the FT and have never won it, I have had about 5 FT with nothing better then a 4th place finish and 1 3rd place. To bad they were all on my other accounts that have since been closed by support because this account is sooo rigged, lol. I have lost HU in the second round the last 3 times i played it. This time it was pretty sick though, the guy have me out chipped about 3-1 and the blinds were still at 50/100 and i came back to have him by 2-1 then i lost a flip AJ<10J sooooted, then i get coolered so bad I flop K high flush and he obv has the A high.
I think i played about 16 sngs yesterday and so far today and i made about $175 which isn't near what i would like it to be at but i took a shot at 7 tabling them on my laptop so the screens were really small so im hoping that had something to do with it.
As far a FPP go i have gotten them alot faster then i was thinking i was going to be getting them and actually got a little more then 3 days worth in just under 1 day so maybe it wont be as hard as i thought.
My sng game is readjusting back to the non turbos better then i thought, I don't have the roll to play the $27 turbos so I have to stick w the $22 until then but if things keep turning out the way they have been and my ROI is significantly better then the non turbos then i might just wait until I'm rolled for the $33 regulars. I just wish that stars sngs were done by hands like on Absolute instead of minutes played. I loved the fact that it was regular poker in the beginning but push/fold after it was about 4-5 handed, so many people couldn't adjust to it in time at the $22 level even if they are AP regulars.

a little of every thing

so i have been playing alot lately, almost all $4.40/180 for the TLB contest. My two teammates are pretty much carrying my sorry ass. I thought it was going to be the other way around at first because after playing in 7 of them i had 3 ft and 1 14th place while my roommate hadnt cashed in any and the other guy hadnt even played. Well my roommate was leading us in points yesterday but last night the other teammate(dagg111) went on a sick ass run and had like 4 ft and a cash putting us in 3rd place in the contest. I stopped posting the updates on how i was doing because i realized i was going to kill myself if i was looking back at my stats and saw that i was on a 0-18 run in the things.
I have been determined to win a seat to the sunday million since i got money on stars and have failed miserably. I have tried every satellite they have from the $2.20 triple shootout to the $29 sng. After spending about $190 on them i finally won one and am offically not in the red for sats anymore.
I have never tried to make any of the VIP "stars" on pokerstars but i think this month i am actually going to try for it, I have 362FPP this month and need to get to 1500 total my the 30th. So i will need to get about 50 FPP a day so i will have to play either 5 $22 sngs a day or 10 $16 sngs a day for the rest of this month, give or take a couple because i will be playing the $4.40 still which give me 2FPP for every one i play.

OMG....WHY DO I ALWAYS BUST LIKE THIS AT THE FT

Anytime i get to a ft i usually get there in the middle of the pack, like 5th- 9th, i always work up my stack and then lose to something like this. I dont mind losing to the 77 here obv but the guy w A3 for a 17k stack which still would have put me in 8th place is what bugged me. oh well... another missed opportunity

funny thing is, the guy who had 77- when the blinds were at 800/1200 he pushed on my bb for 2k more and i was gonna call w my A8 but i thought the big stack who was to my right had raised all in because the chips were piled sooooo high when he called that i folded and would have busted him way before the FT

Pocketfives.com $4.40/180 man tlb contest

so i am going to be playing ALOT of these $4.40/180 sngs for this month, me and my roommate joined a TLB contest on p5s with some other guy and i want to win so bad. I am off to a pretty good start too, i played the first 3 that ran since this contest started and i got 2 ft ( 3rd and 8th) and obv lose to really bad beats, the third one i misclicked for all of my chips w 37o lol.
I think that i am also going to be keeping track of how i do in these on here too, like posting number played,cashes,profit final tables and TLB points.

2 FTs, a cashout and Stars

so last night i played in the Absolute $7k guaranteed tourney and i got 7 place for @ $250 and this morning i got 4 place in the pokerstars $11 tourney for $497, of course i took a bad beat in that one when we were 4 handed but oh well. I FINALLY HAVE A BR ON STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a plyer from Absolute to trade me $100 for stars and after 4 DS to the sunday million and a few sngs i was down to $35. Also i cashed out 2k from Absolute so i am going to have to be carefull on there now because i am not going to move down levels and only have about 20 buyins left, never mind i forgot i cashed in that tourney and didnt feel like deleting that. I might try to satty in to the 150k and the 60k this weekend but i dont know, my main goal is just to work up my stars roll by playing all of the really +ev sats on there and keeping the T$

FUCKIN RIDICULOUS

So i was playing the $50/$7500 guaranteed today and i was in first place by about 9k with blinds at 1k/2k and 15ppl left and all of a sudden Absolute crashes. After about an hr of waiting around and sending them an email i decide that maybe they will just do a chip equity chop or something of that sort......well come to find out when i get back home that about 1 1/2 hrs after it crashed they decided to continue running the tourney, and i finished 8th for $245. This is such bullshit, i found a guy who was playing in it w/ me and he had finished second and said that 8 ppl blinded out. I sent them an email basically saying that if they didnt compensate me in someway then i was going to have to take all of my money off of their site and that i was going to post on every online poker forum what had happened and how they took care of it.

So i was in 5 sngs earlier and by some freak of nature was running extremely hot. I was destroying the bubble in 2, i mean like 4500 cl in both, two i was in first place with 5 left in one and 6 left in the other and the last one just started.
All of a sudden my internet connection drops, im used to it dropping for a few seconds because i have wireless but this time it dropped for good. I got on my roommates computer because all of the lights were solid green on the modem so i thought it was just my computer messing up but his didn't work either. So i called the internet company and finally got a hold of them ( which was a surprise because it was 3:30am) and they said that in my area there are actually ppl doing maintenance so they were having "downtime". Needless to say, i blinded out of all my sngs.

Break even streak

So over the past 55 or so sngs i have been pretty much break even. Of those 55 the first 35 i was completely even and with the last 20 i am up $82. I know that is not many at all but it just sucks seeing my BR go up and then right back to where it started at

Sngs

I have been playing alot of sngs lately because i have just been getting killed in tourneysand cash games. I think i have found my sweetspot too, after dropping a couple hundred i dropped down to the $22 sngs. Not because thats what my BR limits are but rather because i was up to about $3500 and in less then 5 days i was almost down to $2700 and i just couldnt handle losing $1000 in that short of time. I have been playing realy good lately and am almost back up to $3k. I am going to go fishing w my girlfriend and my family for a couple of days so i wont post until maybe Monday.

been playing ok i guess

so i just got done playing some sngs. I did pretty good in them overall i think but still not enough first place finishes. Also i have been trying to play more cash games but i remembered why i dont play them online anymore. I decided to start a session and 4 table .50/1 and the very first table i got to i waited for the bb and when it got to me i got dealt AA. Well i raised it to 4 and got only the button to call, flop came out As3h9d i bet out 5 and got reraised to 17 so i re-reraised to 39 and got a call. The turn was a Js and i wanted to just take down the pot right there so i pushed the rest of my stack in which was $57 and got instacalled by 5s4s and the river was of course a 2 giving him the straight.LOL.
Also in tourneys i have been playing alot better and making it alot deeper consistanly its just to bad that its still never in the money because of the tourney size it only pays a few. I think that i have about 10 finishes in 25-19 place when the tourney pays only 18 spots, and when i do cash i end up making a stupid play and bust in the first money level. Ill post some pics of my stats later.

First major FT

so i dont know if it can really be considered a major...but it is for me!!!
I final tabled the 60k guaranteed today on Absolute. I was CL with about 20 to go and then battled it out for the CL when it was down to the final 13-18 but lost a huge coin flip on the FT bubble AK<1010 which if i had won i would have had double second place chips but oh well. I went into the FT in 8th place and after some push fold poker that where i ended up busting. I got $1704 which isnt to bad since i satellited in for $40, well actually i played in two sats. to it. One was a $20 freezeout and the other was a $40 sng. I got in on the sng but lost the tourney so i was in for $60 but won a last longer bet with a player Pokerskibum for $25 so i was really in for $35.

Finally broke the curse lol

So i finally think my bad run of sngs is over. I played 5 today and had 2 wins 2 seconds and 1 third. That's the most in a row that i have cashed in since my bubble streak began.I am not on my computer now but i will post more pics of my stats later

Running so bad right now

God i am running so bad, I am on a $400 downswing which is horrible for me as the biggest down swing i have ever had was around $250. I was looking at my sng stats and i have cashed in 5 of my last 19 sngs:
1st- 1
2nd- 1
3rd- 3
4th- 9
5th- 4
9th- 1
Also i have busted on the exact bubble in tourneys 3 out of the last 7 times, I don't know what the hell is wrong with me but maybe i need to just tighten up on the bubble and stop trying to build a stack. If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE HELP!!!
I really hope that this is just a really hard run of variance but i don't know, it just seems like every time i play i take some sort of horrible beat to put me out. I have tried moving down levels and playing really tight. There have been about 5 or 6 times where i I'm in a sng and i play literally 2 or 3 hands until the blinds get to 50/100 or 100/200 and i will make a play and get called by K10 or A8 or any kind of stupid hand that should not be played against a really tight player and they end up beating me, and these are in the $44 sngs not the $2 sngs that Absolute has. I don't know, maybe i will start posting HH just to show I'm not just playing bad, or maybe i am and someone can point out a flaw that they notice i don't know i just need help.

50k tourney

so Absolute is running a new tourney today, it is the $162/50k guaranteed and i satellited in for $24 in a $6 rebuy so i hope i can make a pretty good run. Also i played the $30/5k today and was down to 300 chips when the blinds were 60/120 after my QQ lost to 34 when he flopped a straight. Anyways i ade the comeback of my life when i just kept doubleing up and eventually was in 20th place for a while. When it got down to 30 pp whith 27 paying i shoved 77 and got called by AK and ended up bubbleing so i was really pissed about that.

Running Bad

So after i moved up to the $44 sngs i just started running so bad. I know most ppl probable think " oh man your just getting out played" but thats not the case. I would be the first to admit it if i was not good enough for that level. The thing is, im running terrible at every level sng, mtt and cash game. I have run KK into AA at least 4 times in the $44 after being CL the whole time and end up getting 4th, when i get AA i lose to A5 on the bubble, as for the tourneys it really hard for me to understand how some of these people even have $50 in their accounts with the plays i have seen in the nightly $50/10k guaranteed tourney. In 1 day i lost in the first 7 hands of the $50 double stacked, $25/6k guaranteed and $50/10k guaranteed. In the two $50 tourneys im dead serious i lost one AA to 57 all in after the flop of A69 turn was an 8 and the other one i lost AA to Q9 on an flop of A58, i bet pot he calls turn is a 10 ibet pot again he calls river is a J.lol it is unbelievable some of the plays i have been seeing. I dropped $500 in less then 4hrs in sngs and tourneys the other day but luckily i got some back after winning a $71 sng for $298. I also ft the $50/10k tourney after being CL the whole way but ran AK into AQ all in pre flop and he hit the Q so i was ss and busted 9th.

100k tourney

so i know that i said i was gonna post hourly but i decided not too. It seems like every time i post while in a tourney i end up busting within the next 5 hands. Anyways i did really good in it, it had 602 ppl in it and i got 13th for $1325 which isnt a bad return on my $3.30 investment. I have been playing alot today but mostly sngs. I have played 6 $44 sngs and i have gotten 1 first 1 second and 1 third and 3 fourths ( always to bad beats too). I think im gonna stay playing these and every once in a while move limits. I play 2 $44 sngs at a time but if i feel like doing more i will drop to $22s because i can play 4 of those and because the $33s never fill. Also if i decide to play $71 sngs then i will only play 1 table at a time.

First Major tourney

so im playing the Absolute 100k today and im really excited. This is my first tourney over $50 and im hoping i do good. I will post hourly updates if im still in. The best thing about it is im only in for $3.30...thank god for satellites

I just found a link to another blog by some guy who plays 10/20-25/50 and he is going to try and do this based on SBRugby aka ABA20 (Brian Townseads) BR managment theory if he had to do this. Pretty much he is starting w 1k and going to play until he has 9 buyins for the next level starting at 100nl and then move up and if he drops down to 8 buyins for the lower level then he will drop back limits ie. 100nl until $1800br then 200nl but if he drops back town to an $800br then he will go back to 100nl. It seems like it could possibly be done but im not sure. He seems like a pretty solid played just from looking at his PT stats and it should be really fun to watch. Anyways I added his link so check it out.

Some live play and a FT

i played some 1/2 at the same place i played at the other day and ended up making like 50 bucks which wasn't bad considering i was stuck like 160 after the first hr. When i got there i don't know why but i just didn't feel comfortable at the table and ended up getting it all in w KK vs AA after the all rag flop. Actually i had $14 left and pushed the next hand w KQs and got 3 callers, the flop came xx6KQ so i was thinking i was good but one guy had pocket 6s. I got $15 from my roommates stack and bought in for another $40 and i was soooo card dead that i just folded down to about $35...the whole time we were playing 10handed which i hate by the way and finally there was enough people to get two tables running. I immediately sat at the other table because even w only having like 15bb i new i was the best one there and it would def be +EV to sit there. I ended up doubling on the first orbit and then i just started picking up blinds and stealing pots and it felt good because i was back in my comfort zone.
I ended up leaving because my roommate went bust again, I have never seen someone on the ass end of variance for so long. I mean I'm not being biased because we are friends, he is pretty good actually but tonight he got AA 5 times and won only twice and the final hand was all in preflop and he was called by 3c8c and flopped and turned an A for trips but ended up losing to running clubs.
I played in the 2:30 tourney on absolute that had 122 ppl in it and i busted 4th for $44 after i pushed on a club draw and ran into AJ after the A high flop. I think i am going to start playing the $20 sngs seeing that im rolled for them now. I played in one today that was just ridiculous.... we were in the money after just 14 hands. I was the only one that didn't even see a flop and i cashed so it was pretty cool. I had 1440 in chips and the other guys had like 3k and 8.5k, I ended up taking first after having some good reads and some hands hold after just 27 hands.

So today was on OK day i guess. I didn't make to much money, actually i think i only made $19 after going up and down but it feels good to actually have profit after the day I've had. I did something i didn't think i was going to do again for a long time actually, i put money on Bodog. Actually i wanted to play the Sunday million on Stars this past weekend so i bought a Visa Gift2Go card and it didn't work even after a countless number of people on pocketfives said that they do.
I had downloaded Bodog a long time ago and played there for a while but i didn't really like the interface so left but now that they have some really good tourneys and some really easy satellites i figured id give it a shot. I decided thought that i was going to start from scratch pretty much and do what i used to do when i deposited before i really got the whole concept of the game. I only put on $25 and was going to play the cheap-seats tourney in to the 6 handed satellite for the Sunday 100k guaranteed. Well i saw that they now have $3.50 tournament dollar SnGs so i decided to play those and see what i could do. These are rather fun to play actually since its a 10 person table and it pays 1st: $27 tourney dollars and 2nd/3rd both get their buy ins back. I played 3 at a time to start of and i won the first two and got 2nd in the last one so i was doing pretty good. Then the bug got me and i decided that since Bodog is notorious for soft cash games i decided to play and sit with the rest of my money at 25nl. WELL............... After about 20 min of play i think that i had around $38 and then i got all in preflop with AA to J9soooooooooted and lost to trip jacks which is always good for the last bit of cash i was gonna deposit. I still had $54 in tourney dollars so i was going to play some sngs but realised that that you cant use them for sngs so i am going to have to wait until there is a good tourney tomorrow night.
Now for Absolute.... i had $505.68 to start the day( i remember the change because i hate going below whole #s and had just enough to play a $5.25 HU) and i won the HU sng and then i played a $10 HU sng and lost that. So i was at an even $500 and sat w half a buy in at 100nl and got it up to almost a full buy in after about 45 min...but what kind of blog entry would this be without my daily bad beat for a large sum of money??? I got AA(yes the same hand i busted on Bodog with) in the BB and the guy utg raised to $4 and there was 3 callers and the button re raised to $10, it gets to me and i figure that i need to make it a big raise to make the trash hands fold so i make it $27 to go and it folds to the button. He thinks for a while and then shoves the rest of his/ my stack and i insta call. He flips QQ and i know already that I'm gonna lose because every time i get AA cracked on this site it is always by QQ( remember the hole in my wall) well it bricks all the way to the river and then there it was, a beautiful Q to end my good run at 100nl for the day. It would have been nice to sit with half a buy in and leave with two full buy ins but oh well. I have really been trying to work on my tilt control and know that i am always going to take bad beats and not let them affect me and today was no different. I just closed the table and sat there for a while. Now my roommate on the other hand is/ has been on the ass end of variance for a while now and has already gone through about 4 mice since we first moved in.lol
After the suck out in the cash game i played in a $40 sng and played pretty well for the first couple of rounds. I think when it was 75/150 i made a play at a pot and got called down on it and left myself with 300 chips but i ended up coming in second for $108 so it evened out my day. The guy that i played when it was HU was pretty terrible IMO and was playing pretty much ATC so it was tough to put him on a hand. For example i raised from the button with 1010 and he called me w 24s and flopped trips and rivered a boat but i got away from it cheap because there was a Q on the flop. He ended up beating me when i got it all in on the turn with a set of 6s and he slow rolls me with a straight, keep in mind that i raised preflop 5xBB and C raised the flop and he hit a straight on the turn with 47o.

He ended up beating me when i got it all in on the turn with a set of 6s and he slow rolls me with a straight, keep in mind that i raised preflop 5xBB and C raised the flop and he hit a straight on the turn with 47o.

FT coolers and new "style" for cash games

so i played in the $5 $1k guaranteed tourney and made it to the final table which is pretty good BUT..... AQ is usually second best to AK on an A47flop and i busted 6th for $65. What pisses me of most about busting deep in tourneys is that it is always to someone who should have been out along time ago. There were three people who would just not bust it was ridiculous. The guy who busted me folded his bb when they were 1k/2k and he only had 4k left then pushes 74o from his sb and obv flop of 74x to double and then he doubles a couple of more times when finally he has the CL with 13 to go. The guy who was CL at the time had 150k in chips and second had 98k, well the ss miracle guy (his name was icky734) doubled through him every time and then finally he busted him out in 11th when icky called big stacks all in w A3diamonds and big stack had AA, well AA is never good to running straight flush cards lol. It was icky and some person, im assuming it was a girl because they had a pic of the guy from greys anatomy on it was making horrible plays but obv gave someone a bj to stay in it also. She was giving bad beats worse then the guy at my table and when i busted they were both CLs. Oh well, at least im making it deep consistently and im sure a big win isn't to far from now.
Also i played some .50/1 and i have been trying a new "style" i guess you can call it. I normally love set mining in cash games and limping to trap w strong hands but today i sat w 50 and ended up leaving w $147. The only thing i did different was not limping, if i wanted to play a hand i was raising it 3x-5x depending on my position. I figured that if my hand wasn't good enough to raise with i wasn't going to play it which seemed to work pretty well. Also i gave my roommate $50 more today and he actually didn't lose it all in one session...he is down to $18 but what can i do???lol

Can think of a title

So i dropped a few buy ins at 25nl after the shitty $3r tourney, and quit for a while. I played the $25 $6500 guaranteed tourney a little while ago and i busted 33rd out of 356 and i was really excited because i didn't bubble. I made a kind of dumb play when it got down to 39 and it only payed to 36, I raised from the hijack seat w A9 for about 4bb and had 6bb left and a guy who i had not seen show down to many hands but the ones he was showing were really strong shoved over me. I just couldn't shake the feeling that he had a really strong hand so i had to lay it down, and i was in push fold mode right after because i wasn't paying attention and the blinds went up to 800/1600 the very next hand. I ended up pushing AQs and couldn't hit against a pair of 4s.
Over all for this month so far i am down $35 in tourneys so that doesn't make me to happy especially since when ever i get close to a big score i either screw up or take a bad beat...ie last post. So I'm sitting @200 right now and might multitable cash games right now but I'm not sure.

Doing pretty good

So i played in a live cash game and did pretty well, most people bought in for 100 but i had to lend my roommate some money once we got there so i only bought in for $80. I ended up playing for about 4 hours and made $240. Also when i got home i played in a $20 sng and won it so i was up to about $245 online. I sent my roommate $20 more and and when he lost that i "sold" him $30 online for $20 cash. I played for a while last night and ended @ $240 after bubbleing a $11 sng and a $5 tourney.

Starting over

So i busted in 14th place in the re buy tourney and had i gotten at least 13th i would have at least made $9 but why would KK hold to AQo after a flop of 7102rainbow flop.I raised 4.5x then BB preflop from utg and the SB calls. I shove the flop and get instacalled by AQo and the obv river A sends me to the rail. So i was @ $335 and sent my roommate $20 lost the other $15 and cashed out $200. I left myself w $100 because it is a little more cushion then $50 and if i go on a bad run it i wont go broke. I think I'm going to set aside $48 for .25/.50and only buyin for $24 each time, also set aside $22 for a few sngs and save the other $30 for .10/.25. Hopefully my strategy works lol.
Also i have found some pretty good live games through pokerpal.org. I'm going to play in a 1/2 nl game tonight and it has a lot better rake% then my last regular game plus they are making BBQ so it should be good, also the guy emphasised "fun" so I'm thinking the game should be pretty soft. I also found a pretty good tourney, it is a $25 buy in w $15 re buys for the first hour. Then to make it really fun the blind levels are are 90 min. long so it seems like a good structure since there is usually 45-65ppl I'm told.

Really shitty day so far

I got up to $395 this morning and am currently at $317after winning a $11 sng. I tilted cash games so hard before work and lost about $60 then i bubbled a $20 sng AK to 10 6s. I lost a little more when i got off work too but now im sitting 8/55 in a $5rebuy so hopefully i can FT this...or at least cash because im in for 20 and 18th pays but only $21.43 but hey $1.43 is still profit right.

Day 3

Not a very eventfull day. I played 1 HU sng and got first then i played two 9man $11 sngs, I busted out 4th in the first won and got second in the next won after being CL by a ton and falling asleep w 5 ppl left. I also let my roommate play in two $2.40 sngs and he got a 3rd and a 1st.
Oh and i also played a $2.20 sattelite to the 1.5k guarunteed PLO8 tourney, it had 76 ppl and payed 7 spots...i got 9th which is actually alot better then what i thought i was going to do

Cash Games

So i sat down at .25/.50 and i lost two buyins in about 25 min., well they werent full buyins i only bought in for $20 each time. First one was on the first hand i play im BB w 8 10dd and its checked around flop comes 4h8h10d i check call a $4 bet and the river is a blanks so i lead out for $8, one guy calls other guy shoves and i call after thinking for a while and the first guy calls also. River is a 4s first guy has a busted flush draw and second guy had 84 and hits his boat. I buy in again and about 10 hands later i get AQcc on the button w 4 limpers in front so i make it $3.50 and get two callers flop is A106 i bet, fold call turn 6 i bet he shoves and i call...he has A10.
By now i am really mad an want to just sit at a $2/$4 nl game but decide to sit w $60 at a $100nl table and i accidently hit the post BB button from utg and im dealt AA and make it $4 guy to my left makes it $9 so i reraise again to $24 he shoves andi call. He flips QQ and my AA hold for a nice double. Guy starts talking shit about how the site is rigged and that he was gonna get the money back from me anyways so i gave him the rounders " young man in for a quickie" line and left the table. I was sorta mad though because i wanted to sit w a full buyin and my roommate talked me out of it, had i done that then i would have now had a $400 roll sinc ethe guy still had $40 left behind

Day 2

So i didnt get much playing in tonight. I played 4 full table SnGs and i busted early in the first two, won the third and pushed 39o in the fourth w/ 7 left because my roommate was gonna buy subway. I also played a $5.50 HU and won, oh yeah i sat at a .50/1.00 limit table and played 2 hands. I bought in for for 26 and got AA on the second and won a $13 pot. Over all im only a little bit off pace to reach my goal but im pretty sure it will be fine.

I'm down to 175 in chips and blinds are at 400/800 and I'm allin in SB and double, then i push again next hand and triple, 2 ppl go out at the other table and I'm wondering if I'm about to make the best comeback in history. Blinds raise to 500/1000 and i push again i double once more w 77 and i do this for the next two hand also but ppl fold instead. So i am sitting w @5k and blinds still the same and there is 10 left i get AQ on the button and utg raises min so i push and then i get min raised by SB, utg calls and they check the Ahigh flop to the river 8 when SB bet pot and I'm thinking if he doesn't have AK I'm back in 5th place but instead he turns over 88 for trips on the river and i want to break my fucking computer so bad I'm out in 10, oh yeah not to mention that when i was allin the SS of the tourney pushed on the other table w K10 and gets called by KK......what do you think the flop was **DING DING DING* your prob right AQJ for the nuts. Day1

So i was pretty much recovering today from the losses i had right after my last post. I had won 13 of 17 $5.50 HU sngs so i decided to move up to the $11 level and it seem slike noone there has any regard for money. I played 7 and lost every one of them to some sort of bad beat. I think of the 7 i played 4 went all in the first hand and the 5th went all in the 3rd hand after calling the bb and i checked w J4 flop came J48 he pushed w/ QQ and obv running 3s to give him higher two pair. I dont know if im not playing agressive enough or what but im playing about as good as i was at the $5.50s. I had some catching up to do so i played in an $11 27 person and $7 18 person SnG and didnt cash in either, but i did pretty well in the $11 9 man SnGs. I played 4 and had 1 win 2 seconds and a 3rd so i made $117 but only $22 was profit but oh well atleast im not in the red.

New Challenge

I think that im going to start a challenge today, I am going to try and make $175 by next Sunday which breaks down to $25 a day and seems pretty modest but very attainable so i think it should be easy.

HU and cash games

I have been playing alot of HU sngs today and think i am going to move up to the $10 sngs from now on. I have played 15 today and won 12 but those were still at the $5 level. Also i played some cash today and did pretty well and also cleard a $10 bonus.

not two seconds after i hit the publish button for that last post i had AhKs utg+1, blinds are 1000/2000 and UTG makes it 8k I'm thinking that since he just moved to our table and is in 1st place w/ 124k chips it was just to gain table dominance. I flat call and so does guy on my left, flop: Q58 all spades. UTG checks i raise it to 6k both call, turn is an Ax i have this strong feeling that I'm beat by AQ but i still have the Ks which gives me a possible 9 outs not including a King so i bet 8k and get min raised, if i just call here i only have 13k left so i just push because i cant get away from it and the guy flips rockets w/ the As so i was drawing dead no matter what. Of course though i didn't even realize he had a spade until the 10s came on the river and i jumped only to see the pot move towards him. well atleast its not a bubble but i almost would have rather come 64/63 then 59/63
SMD setup hands

So i decided to play in the $1 re buy tourney on Absolute and i had about 9k in chips after getting AA first hand and half the table went all in. I played really good and was around 20th the whole time, then misclicked and called a raise, re-raise and all in w 64o and that was it for my big stack. I then proceeded to re buy and dump the next 5 hand in a row. I ended up being in it for 10 and i had 8000 after the re buys and add ons at the break...CL 80k chips. Well I'm still in the tourney and am sitting 27/ 60. wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday and today

So i didn't play much yesterday i think maybe 30 min cash and i think 5 HU Sngs. I was up like $3 at cash and i think i went 3/2 in my Sngs.
Today i was pretty happy because i rivered a $40 pot w 57s when i limped on the button and the BB raised it to $1.25 and there was 7 callers so i figured what the hell. Flop came 9sKx2s guy bets3 and this time there was only 3 callers so a lot of dead money in the pot i make a very loose call and turn comes a 6H guy bets 4 and there was around 26 in the pot at the time so i figured : 4 to win 26...seems pretty good, then river comes a As which makes me happy knowing that someone wasn't at least calling down also w AsXs and i think any other suited hand would be i the muck already. Guy raises to X amount and i push for 11 more and he starts typing all this shit how he knows i was calling him down w the Ks and some trash, he is saying shit the whole time until his time is up and i show him the 7high flush and proceed with the usual needling when someone talks shit. After that i played some HU Sngs and won 4/5. I think that is all i played since i found a link to a free card runners video by BoostedJ( high stakes cash player on full tilt) and fell asleep watching it around 12:30 and just woke up and its still on.

Not to eventfull

I didnt play that much today since i had to be at work at 2 and went to bed last night around 8. When i got home i took like a 30min nap and then played some cash games for a while. I lost a buy in at 25nl and then got it back in another session, i think i ended up like $4.35 at 25nl today, after that and after about an hr of persuasion i convinced my roommate to deposit on Full Tilt. We went to Walgreen's and bought a visa gift2go card which worked right away, after railing him for a while i decided to play a few HU sngs and when 3/4 in them also i played in a $11 9 man SnG and was dominating until we got heads up and my AQ lost to A4 to get us even stacked, i donked around a bit but managed to get the lead again. The only thing i dont like about the SnGs on Absolute is that the levels are not time based but rather hand based so after 10 hand the blinds jump which doesnt leave any room for poker when it gets short handed, I think when we finally finished the blinds were at 1000/2000 and only 13500 in play

A little confidence back

After i made the last post i was down to 13.75 at the table and everyone left because someone sat w 100 ( fyi- absolute lets you sit with double buyins at csh games ie. 50nl you can sit w 100 but when i refer to me sitting i only buy in for 50) i stayed and figured i might as well lose this too but i doubled up the first hand when i hit a set of 6s and he was bluffing. A few hand later some guy(2) sat w 32.75...im guessing his whole roll and was playing really tight. The only hand he got involved in was when Big Stack raised $2 on his BB and he raised it to 4, BS raised it to 6and guy2 shoved 25+ into with AQ, BS calls with 22 and board reads 5KK77 so his hand doesnt even play. VerY next hand when guy2 is talking shit about how that was dumb of him to call w 22 i get A9hh on the button and i raise to 1 and then both call, i flop the absolute nuts on a Kh7h3h with my A high flush and it checks to me so i bet 1 guy2 calls and BS makes it 4, we both call and turn is a A, BS bets 7 guy 2 calls and i type "lol tilting much" and he says "STFU SMD" so i just smooth call knowing hes gonna push the river and sure enough he does and im surprised guy2 calls. I really wish i had more money at the table because guy2 had a little over 30 left over. when he flips over his 77 he starts going crazy saying that i was cheating and that he was gonna repot me and all this shit. Before i left the table i had to see what BS had and he had 104 o and was tilting exactly like i said
Now having to pay to fix my wall isnt gonna suck as much

UNREAL

So not only do i bubble the tourney im in i get stacked at 25nl 88<58 and again at 50nl, well first i lose a $40 pot JJ<69 then the very next hand i get AA and UTG makes it $2 i make it $4 and get 3 callers, utg shoves $24 i shove $35and it folds around he flips QQ flop comes A10K7J to give him broadway. Not only did i just get rivered two hand in a row for $100 but i also punched a hole in my wall and that will probably cost me another $20 to fix. to top it off when im in the BB i get AA again and get walked

My after thoughts of the hand
As soon as i make the call i realise he has to have me beat, there is no way he could shove on me without at least a set especially since there is really not much fold equity as i am already in for 2475 and have 8400 left but Avg is around 15k. I realise that my biggest downfall late in these tourneys is not thinking about my plays all the way through and i know it has cost me lots of $$. For a while i had a sticky not on my computer that said " STOP AND THINK ABOUT IT" but obv it was not there today. i think though that this is actually good for my game for a few reasons:
1. I learn from my mistakes
2. I KNEW i was beat after i called
3. I analysed the hand correctly after my momentary lapse of reason
4. I remembered about the sticky note that is def. gonna have to go back up

But the bubble can still SMD it sucks so bad especially since it has happened in the last 3 tourneys i played in less then 24hrs not including the AP free roll

Tourney update

I have pretty much been around 30th place since the beggining of this thing and just moved up to 20th with 47 left blinds at 300/600/75, next hand i make it 4x from button with 44, blinds fold and MP guy who limped called, flop comes 346 rainbow and i bet out half the pot and get a flat call, turn is a 5 and he checks and i bet 2400 again he flat calls river is a Q and he bets 3200 and i just call and to my surprise he flips A7....actually im not surprised
Next hand i double through the same guy and back in 20th place

Early double ups

I seem to be making a lot of early double ups on Absolute, i am playing the 1.5k guarantee and hit a nice little quadruple up w QQ against 44,66 and AK. currently 6/287. Also i played in the AP challenge today and it was a total roller coaster. I was at 3k by the 6th hand and by the 18th i was down to 180. i waited around since i was on the button and when i was utg i picked up KK and tripled up, the next two hands i doubled again and was right back in it. I don't remember how i busted i think it was top two against a set but i ended up getting 127 out of 588

my handle fits me well

just busted out of the tourney AK to K8 all in pre-flop with an 8 on the river. I guess its not as bad as if i had a huge stack and got 3 outered but it still sucks because it payed 18 and i got 20th. I would have made the same call if i was in the other guys position too, he had about 10k in chips and in the bb when they were at 150/300 i had just gotten called on a huge bluff and was down to 1800 and in the SB. once again i get no sleep but i didnt even cash in a tourney tonight so it really sucks.

a few HU wins and of course some bad beats

Played a few HU sngs today and won them, other then that i didnt realy play much except for my fav two nightly tourneys the 2:30am and 3:30 am $5. In the 2:30 one i was in 7 place with 23 to go and get AQs in the BB, blinds at 100/200 and i make it 600 to go and get 3 callers flop comes AK9 and i lead out for 1600 into a 2500 pot because the CL is in the hand and i didnt want to give him good odds to draw out on me he flat calls and i figure im good since he prob would have raised AK pre, other two fold and the turn is an 8 i pushed in my 3700chips into a 5700 pot and he tanks it for a while and im praying for a call because i know i have him, finally he calls with QJ. Can you guess what hit...thats right a fuckin 10. i would have been in second place with @ 13k and have a chip lead on 3rd by at least 3k. well lets see if i can do the same thing as yesterday when i bust out of the first tourney and FT the second. Currently 13/34 gl me

FUCK ME- i got conned( well sorta)

i was sitting at a 25nl table and i was playing this guy heads up for about 30 min. I got my ass owned by some guy who literaly raised it 4x bb every hand and for some reason i fell victim to his stupid ways. he told me that he had just started playing and got money from a freeroll but thats not why i was playing him but every time i would take a big pot off of him he would reload to 50 and i didnt even realise it. Anyways this guy was hitting every flop if he missed the flop he would for sure hit his draw on me. Anyways i ended up getting stacked for my initial 30 and then for the 20 i took off of him. well i was just curious if he was playing higher limits because he seemed to have a total disregard for money and sure enough...there he was at 5/10 nl. This guy had me tilted so hard that i pushed on his reraise for only $4 more w/ K6o into his KK.

Another FT and goal for today

i just busted 7th in another $5 tourney.... to bad i hardly ever ft a big stars tourney but i seem to have no problem on Absolute. I am gonna try and play about 500 hands today not including the HU cash game im sitting at.

So i know it was a really small sample and i finished before i thought but overall i did pretty well i think. I won 17 out of 25 and after rake it came out to be 33.75 so its not to bad. I decided that i was gonna play in the tourney i won the other night and i doubled up pretty quick in the first 30 min. I had about 36oo chips and i got into it with the guy that had around 6k. I had A6hh and was in the hijack seat, the blinds were at 60/120 and i make it 480 to go and the bb calls. My read on this guy was that he was really tight and that i would probably be able to steal the pot after the flop. Flop comes Ad6dKx i figure him for atleast an A when he min raises so i just min raise back and he makes and instacall so i figured i was up against a draw prob. Next card was a 7x and he checks so i push and once again with the instacall and i think im waaayyy behind but no he flips over J9dd....the guy who has played maybe 10 hands the whole tourney called of more then half his stack with one card to come and only 9 outs at best. Obv the river diamond was fun. Oh well, im playing in another tourney and i hope to make it deep in this one

Destroying HU sngs

So two seconds after i made the last post i won a sng on the very first hand when i flopped a straight to his set. after that i won 1 lost 1 won 1 lost 1 and was getting very pisses until i went on a pretty good run and won 6 more in a row. i think im gonna stop for know since its 6:45 am and i have work at 12 and it feels pretty good having won 10 outta 13

i am not doing so hot in these HU sngs and its tilting me so bad that i want to just keep moving up limits to win it back. After winning the tourney the other night my BR was 199...now its at 142 which isn't good. All of that loss is not from the Sngs but most of it is a direct result of it because i get mad and tilt cash games. So my first little challenge to myself is to play 25 HU sngs by Saturday night before i play anything else, i know that isn't much but since i only have 27buy ins for this and i'm gonna spend most of Fri night w my gf i figure it should be enough. If its successful then i will do longer ones in the future, if its not successful then i will be pretty much busto for a while since it seems impossible to deposit money anywhere

Heads up Sngs and Cashgames

I just finished playing 3 more HU sngs and even though 10 is a very very small sample im starting to wonder if maybe i just cant beat them...well beat the rake actually because after winning two and losing one im only up $3.75 on all my HU sngs. I really want to get better at these but it seems sorta weird that i can dominate HU cash games but cant make a profit in HU sngs. In my hr and a half session two tabling 25nl i ended up down $8.75 after losing a $34 pot w AQ to AK on an AAx board so thats always fun. I think im about to see if i can find someone sitting at 50nl by themselves to try and catch up for the day but if not oh well there is always tomorrow
